A second win from two for The Lakesiders against fellow Welsh opposition in just over a week ensures Colin Caton's side go into Thursday's Europa League clash with confidence.
Chris Venables edge of the box effort in the twenty fifth minute cancelled out TNS' Ryan Brobble's early goal, before striker Kieran Smith settled the end to end clash with a close range header. Newest signing Andy Mangan was an essential part of Bala's attacking prowess throughout the game, which included an assist for their first goal, and he could have put the match out of reach for TNS; but his header was tipped onto the post by 'keeper Paul Harrison. Bala held out for a final score of 2-1 to the home team.
TNS have one more preseason friendly- against Scottish Championship side Falkirk FC- before their first round tie of Champions League Qualifying against KF Shkëndija in Macedonia kicks off in a fortnight. Bala Town, meanwhile, are travelling to Italy by charter flight from Liverpool on Wednesday morning, to face Tre Fiori at Stadio Tullo Morgangni in the hope of reaching the next round of Europa League qualifications.
