Mark Connolly scored twice in the rout
Bala Town registered a club record win as Christmas came early for Colin Caton's side at Maes Tegid. Six second-half goals stunned an out of sorts, Nomads who have now lost their last eight league matches.
The Lakesiders took a deserved lead in at the break, thanks to a well-taken Ryan Valentine effort. The former Wrexham defender curled his shot from 20 yards into the bottom corner, around Nomads 'keeper Terry McCormack, just five minutes before half-time for an interval score of 1-0.
Town then scored five goals in twenty-one action-packed minutes straight after the break, to ensure that the three points were safely in their bag. They doubled the advantage on 48 minutes as Mark Connolly continued his good run of form to slot home after a great run by his skipper Mark Jones and the same man made it three with a trademark free-kick, six minutes later.
Things got even better for Caton's side, when Ian Sheridan scored the fourth, when he tapped in from sub Lewis Codling's assist and young striker Kieran Smith rounded McCormack to make it five.
Sheridan struck the sixth when his shot beat the hapless McCormack from twelve yards with 66 minutes on the clock. Codling registered the seventh as the Lakesiders eclipsed their previous Welsh Premier best, which was a 5-0 win, also against the Nomads, in March at the Deeside Stadium.
