With the visit of Belarussian outfit FC Shakhtyor in the Europa League looming, The Nomads continued their tour across the U.K with a consecutive victory against Northern Irish League Champions Crusaders FC.
Despite a bright start for the home side, with Jordan Forsythe scoring a composed early opener, a near instant penalty gave Callum Morris a chance to equalise; which he duly obliged. Spectators at Seaview would have to wait until after half time for another goal after the frantic start. Efforts from Nomad Michael Bakare and Crusader's Declan Caddell were blocked whilst Andy Morrison's number one Jon Danby was forced to save from David Cushley's fifteenth minute freekick. But it was the away team who led five minutes after half time with Michael Bakare's effort finding the top left corner. The number twenty two of Connah's Quay's goal was decisive, as even though the Welsh side continued pressurising Sean O'Neil's goal they could not score once more. The game finished 2-1 to the travelling side.
One last fixture against Isle of Man FA awaits before the beginning of The Nomads' European adventure in a fortnight.
