The substitute headed home Rob Hughes' cross from close range, beating Ashley Morris at the near post, to seal a typically tight game between the two sides.

Callum Morris came close to opening the scoring, volleying goalwards after a free kick into the box wasn't cleared, but he fired straight at Morris who saved comfortably.

Danny Holmes then burst clear down the left, evading three Bala defenders as he broke into the box, but Morris reacted quickly to smother his effort.

Chris Venables then went close for the visitors, collecting a dinked ball into the box from Kieran Smith, turning and firing a cross/shot across goal, but there was no white shirt on the end of it.

The visitors went close again shortly after the restart, Sean Smith's shot from the edge of the box striking the post.

Michael Bakare then missed a great chance to put the home side in front just after the hour mark, poking a shot over from eight yards after the ball bounced up for him.

It was Bakare's replacement though that struck the winner two minutes from time. Adam Barton's long free-kick was half cleared as far as Jay Owen: he teed up Hughes for the cross, which Harwood stooped down to head home and seal a massive three points for the Nomads.
