Young Player of the Season shortlist revealed

Patten, Holland and Touray the three players vying for the award

The first shortlist for this year's JD Welsh Premier League Awards has been revealed.

Barry Town United duo Robbie Patten and Mo Touray are both shortlisted for the Young Player of the Season award, along with The New Saints midfielder Tom Holland.

Holland and Patten both played critical roles in central midfield for their respective sides this season, with the latter's efforts recognised back in March with a call up to the Wales C squad which drew 2-2 with England in Salford.

Also earning an international call-up this season was Touray, who made an appearance for the Wales U21 side in their qualifier against Switzerland in October 2018. Touray scored 13 goals during his loan spell at Barry from Newport County.

Holland meanwhile is shortlisted in this category for the second successive season, having once again impressed in the heart of the double-winning side.

The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 1 June.
