Adam Roscrow has signed a two-year deal with League 1 side AFC Wimbledon.
The former Cardiff Met striker, who played for the Archers in Welsh Division 3 before their meteoric rise to the JD Welsh Premier League, put pen to paper on Thursday.
Roscrow, who hails from Llantwit Major, scored both Cardiff Met goals in their Nathaniel MG Cup victory over Cambrian & Clydach Vale in January, which secured the club’s first major domestic trophy in their history.
The 24 year-old, also scored a memorable goal for Wales C against England C in Salford in March which caught the eye of the AFC Wimbledon scouts.
Wales C captain in 2018, Connell Rawlinson also earned himself a move to the Football League last season as the TNS product joined Port Vale.
Whilst Adam Roscrow’s deserved move is good news for the rapid and robust striker, it will mean that Cardiff Met will have to face FC Progrès Niederkorn without his services in next week’s Europa League tie in Luxembourg.
